
Fresh Tomato Salad with Burrata and Sumac
Serves 2
Colorfull tomatoes and burrata with a fresh, tangy sumac dressing, topped with wood sorrel. Simple, beautiful and ready in minutes.
Ingredients
Salad
- 400 g tomatoes
- 2 burrata
Dressing
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp sumac
- Salt & pepper
Topping
- A sprig of wood sorrel (or any fresh herb)
Method
- Slice the tomatoes and tear the burrata into smaller pieces.
- Whisk together all the dressing ingredients and pour over the salad.
- Sprinkle with wood sorrel and a little salt and pepper.
SERVE WITH
Scrambled eggs for breakfast or lunch.
Roasted chicken and broccolini (or baked potatoes) for dinner.
About the ingredients
Sumac: A deep red spice made from dried berries with a tangy, lemony flavour. Typically used in the Middle Eastern kitchen. It adds acidity and color to the dish.
Burrata: A fresh Italian cheese with a creamy centre, rich in protein and good fats — a perfect combination that keeps you full.
